Warranty
| 10 (Ten) Year Non-Prorated Material Warranty for Polycarbonate Structured Sheets |
Materials warranted to the initial purchaser that, for a period of 10 (ten)years from the date of original purchase, Polycarbonate Structured Sheets will not undergo a loss in light transmission in excess of 6 (six) percent in comparison with the original value when tested in accordance with ASTM D 1003 (95); will not undergo a change in excess of 10 (ten) delta in comparison with the original value when tested in accordance with E 313-73 and will not lose its impact strength as described below.
Determination of loss of impact strength through weathering leading to hail breakage will be carried out by an impact test according to ASTM D 5420-95 and D 5628-95 method F geometry FA (tup diameter 15.86mm). In the practice of this test the event is considered as a failure when the upper wall of the sheet is penetrated by the tup. The sheet is not up to required standard if the Mean Failure Energy obtained in the test is less than 0.831 Joule. This energy is equal to the energy of an ice ball 20mm in diameter with a speed of 21m per second.
IF Polycarbonate Structured Sheets DO NOT PERFORM AS STATED DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, DYNADOME SHALL SUPPLY REPLACEMENT SHEETS OR, AT THE OPTION OF DYNADOME, REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE THEREOF.
DynaDome shall have no liability whatsoever for the cost of removal of defective sheets or the installation of replacement sheets and shall not be liable for any consequential or other loss, damage, misuses, improper storage, neglect or misapplication of the product.
The warranties herein are made to the original purchaser, are personal to him, and shall not inure to the benefit of subsequent purchasers, transferees, assignees, successors or receivers.
Conditions:
This warranty applies only to Polycarbonate Structured Sheets which are treated, installed, cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer’s recommendations. It is important to note that Polycarbonate Structured Sheets are protected on one side with a special weathering Ultra-Violet (UV) radiation prevention treatment. This protected side must be installed on the exterior side of the installation for this warranty to be in effect. No warranties are extended on the abrasion resistance characteristics of this product. No warranties are extended on the yellowing or loss of light transmission caused by dirt, scratches, breakage or other damage.
This warranty specifically excludes Polycarbonate Structured Sheets that have been formed or molded by vacuum or heat methods. This warranty applies only to Polycarbonate Structured Sheets installed with a minimum thickness of 4 (four) mm.
DynaDome must be notified in writing of every claim within the warranty period and immediately after occurrence of the defect, enclosing the sales receipt and warranty. The claimant must certify that the conditions above have been fulfilled and must allow inspection at the site.
THE FOREGOING IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO POLYCARBONATE STRUCTURED SHEET. ANY OTHER CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE OR LOSS EITHER DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL, WHATEVER THE CAUSE THEREOF, ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED FROM THE WARRANTY. DYNADOME WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. |
