1.              What are the components of the TeleDome pool enclosure?

The structural components (framing members) are aircraft‑quality aluminum alloy 6061‑T6.  The aluminum is anodized to clear or bronze color.  The anodized aluminum resists corrosion from the chemicals in the pool and air so that your structure will not degrade over time.

All the fasteners are 304 stainless steel material, or equivalent to provide the bolt strength required for all the critical joints and are stainless steel so there won’t be any rusting bolts on our enclosures.

The glazing on the roof is multi-wall polycarbonate sheet that provides thermal insulation and filters out most of the harmful UV rays from the sun.  The polycarbonate comes in three standard colors: clear, opal and bronze.  Custom colors available on request.

The glazing on the side walls and end walls are clear Lexan to break the greenhouse look and add aesthetic beauty to your property.  Many colors to choose from for the side and end wall glazing.

2.              What colors are available for the enclosure?

The standard colors for the aluminum are clear and bronze.  This is because we use the more expensive process of anodizing the aluminum to protect it.  We used Powder Coating in the past for the color options, but after 3-5 years, the Powder Coating would crack and peel.  We felt that the structure deserved a quality protectant, which is why we chose anodizing.  The polycarbonate sheets come in clear, bronze and opal colors. 3.              Can the DynaDome enclosure be attached to the house?

Absolutely.  We have designed many enclosures that have been attached to the house, both lean-to enclosures and enclosures without an end-wall that start at the house.  We custom design all of our enclosures to meet the needs of our customers. Back to top

4.              Can I install the track flush with my pool deck?

It is a requirement that the tracks be mounted flush with the existing deck.  Also, the height of the tracks is less than 1” (actual height is 1/2 inch) so tripping is not a concern.  0.625” is about the diameter of a dime. Back to top

5.              What is the maximum span pool enclosure you offer?

Although it depends on the area you live in, DynaDome enclosures can span 60 foot clear. However, we can span greater distances with custom engineering.  If you have any questions regarding the span, please contact us. Back to top

6.              What are the requirements for the pool deck?

It is important to have a flat and level concrete deck.  If you have a question about your deck and wonder if it can carry the enclosure, please contact us. Back to top

7.              How do I maintain the enclosure?

No maintenance is required.  The DynaDome is designed such that the user (homeowner) is not required to maintain the structure at all.  If you live in an area where the environment produces a lot of dirt and dust, then occasional cleaning with water from a hose may be needed. Back to top

8.              Do I have to remove the snow from the roof?

You do not have to remove the snow from the roof of our enclosures. Each enclosure is designed to hold the snow in your area. You will received stamped engineering plans that guarantee the structure's ability to withstand the snow and wind. Back to top

9.              I live in northern Wisconsin where it snows more than other areas of the country, can the DynaDome withstand the snow loads in our area?

Our structures are designed to withstand 30 lbs/ft2 of snow for spans up to 50 feet.  Depending on the size of your DynaDome enclosure, the capacity to withstand the snow increases as your span decreases.    If you live in an area where snow is a concern and you are not sure if our structures are adequate, please contact us. Back to top

10.            I live in an area where wind is a concern.  What are the maximum winds that the enclosure can withstand?

Our structures are designed to withstand 100 mph winds for spans up to 50 feet.  If you live in an area where wind is a concern and you are not sure if our structures are adequate, please contact us. Back to top

11.           Can I swim in the winter?

Once the outside temperature falls below 45 deg F, a secondary source of heat may be required depending on personal preferences.  The swimming pool is required to be heated with its own heater, and, when not in use, covered with the solar cover.  The radiant heat from the pool, the heat from the sun through the polycarbonate sheet and the heat from the secondary source will provide more than enough heat creating a pleasant environment for swimming. Back to top

12.           Do I need a solar cover?

The solar cover will keep the pool from losing heat and from losing water to condensation.  The solar cover will contain the heat and water almost 100%.  Condensation forms when the temperature inside the enclosure falls below the temperature of the water. Back to top

13.           Can I substitute my fence with your pool enclosure?

Considering the pool enclosure is not a permanent structure, it is not acceptable to take credit for the DynaDome pool enclosure as a safety/security fence.  Most, if not all, municipalities require a safety/security fence to safeguard the pool owner from liability concerns. Contact your local building official for more information.  Back to top

14.           Do I need to obtain a building permit for the TeleDome pool enclosure?

Our enclosures are designed to the International Building Code requirements for both Residential and Commercial buildings.  Your need for a building permit is determined based on the local requirements of your city or municipality.  If a permit is required, we provide all necessary documentation for you to obtain the permit. Back to top

15.           How long does it take for delivery?

Typically, it will take between 6-8 weeks once the order is received.  The estimated ship date is provided on the Order Acknowledgement Form once the order is finalized. Back to top

16.           Can I install the enclosure myself?

Yes, you can.  There is a reduction in the price and we will provide a supervisor to manage the first couple of days of the installation. Back to top

17.           Will I be able to stand upright in my enclosure?

The standard height at the columns is 7 feet, so most people have no problem walking around the enclosure without worrying about hitting their head. Back to top

18.           Will the DynaDome keep all of the leaves and bugs out of the pool area?

While the enclosure is in the closed position, all of the leaves, bugs, dirt and debris will be contained outside of the enclosure so that your pool area is free from most of the elements that take away the enjoyment of your swimming pool area. Back to top

19.           Is it easy to open and close the DynaDome pool enclosure?

The enclosure can be opened and/or closed in less than 5 minutes with one or two persons, depending on the size of the enclosure. Back to top

20.           Do you provide post‑installation service?

If you require any post‑installation service or assistance, please contact us and we will resolve any issues you have.  Customer service   Back to top

21.           What is the warranty for the enclosure?

The labor, materials (aluminum) and workmanship are backed by a 20 year warranty, and the warranty for the polycarbonate sheet is 10 years (non pro-rated) with the manufacturer. Back to top
