So you’re interested in getting an enclosure installed for your pool or patio, eh? With so many options out there, we don’t deny that it can become a cumbersome process just choosing which company to go with. That’s why we have put together this list of things you should consider when shopping around for your new enclosure. (See the first part of this list here).

Materials Used. Not all enclosures are made the same, especially when it comes to materials used. Generally, most people assume that enclosures are made of glass. While glass is an option, it is not considered the best option; one of the best materials an enclosure can be made of is called Multi-wall Polycarbonate Glazing. 16mm is the standard thickness for the material that DynaDome uses.  It also comes in 25mm thickness for the roof.  The vertical walls are made of solid polycarbonate glazing which gives the enclosure a glass room look.  Among the other materials used are aircraft quality anodized aluminum framing members and stainless steel rollers and fasteners.

Enclosure Features. Again, not all enclosures are made the same. This is also true when it comes to the features and functionality of them. What’s even better is if the enclosure company has patented technology included in each installation. This is what makes our “Never-Jam” Track System so special! Some other features to consider for your retractable enclosure include full-view sliding windows and doors, motorized roof panels, and bi-folding end panels.

Design Considerations. Last but not least, we have enclosure design considerations. While all installations are custom-made per customer, we still follow a general set of guidelines and standardized processes when designing, planning, and installing an enclosure. Go here for DynaDome’s details on design considerations, materials and construction hardware, and structural properties.

So we encourage you to consider all six of these aspects when shopping around and choosing which enclosure company will be best for you.
